Board of Education meetings

Public Comment Period: 10:30 am
Registration: 8-9 a.m.

The CPS Board of Education meeting has two portions: the public participation segment, and the business portion.  We will be utilizing the public comment period to relay the importance of health programs, policy, and systems within CPS to the Board. 

Registration:

To participate in the public comment period, you must first register with the Board.

Time: 8-9 am (arrive early, if possible)
Location: 1st Floor of the Clark Street Lobby at 125 S. Clark Street, Chicago, IL

Registration for the public participation segment is held between 8-9 am.  The speaker him/herself must be present to sign-up in order to speak at the Meeting.  No person will be allowed to speak if they did not sign up themselves.

Participation:

Time: 10:30 a.m.
Location: 5th floor, 125 S. Clark Street

The public participation session starts promptly at 10:30 am. on the 5th floor of the building.  You will have to come back after initially signing up and go through the visitor’s entrance up to the Board Chambers.  You will need a picture ID. 

Please note: Public participants are called in the order they registered.  Each person is allotted only two minutes to speak during the public participation session.  Furthermore, each organization is allowed only two people to speak. No additional members will be entertained. No delegation of minutes is allowed.  When your two minutes are nearly expired, a warning will be provided to wrap-up your comments.  No individual may provide comment two months in a row.
